Create and place fields
You need a new detail on a customer, item or another record, on the page your team uses. That is the proposed first release’s focus.
A focused self-service customisation tool for BC online admins who need custom fields and page placement.
Evaluating a BC designer mainly for fields? Small Changes is being developed around that job: create the field, place it on a supported page, and check it in a sandbox before production.
Showing a field and creating a new one are different jobs.
A guided way to create the missing field and place it on a supported BC page.
You need a new detail on a customer, item or another record, on the page your team uses. That is the proposed first release’s focus.
Small Changes is being developed for fields and page placement. It won’t replace a wider designer if you also need reports, APIs or new business logic.
One proposed annual plan for BC online. Tell us whether this scope and price would earn a place on your shortlist, and what would rule it out.
Only need to show an existing field? Check BC’s built-in personalisation and profile customisation first. You may not need another tool. See Microsoft’s guidance.
Choose a supported table and field type. Give the detail a clear name, so your team knows what to enter.
Place the field on a supported BC page. Review the change in a sandbox before considering it for production.
Does it also need to reach an order, invoice, PDF or automation? Tell us. Those requirements affect whether a field-only tool will finish your job.
The proposed first release covers custom fields and page placement. Automatic transfers, defaults, report layouts and APIs are not promised. If you’re evaluating Simple Object Designer or another BC tool, tell us which part of the job would make you choose a focused alternative.
Share the field requirement you’re evaluating tools for, your current alternative, and what would make you choose us. Register interest at the proposed €299 annual price; we’ll reply about fit and next steps.
Custom fields and page placement.
Proposed scope and price, subject to validation.
No. The self-service product is in development. The examples show the proposed workflow. Registering interest does not create an account, take payment or promise a launch date.
The proposed first version focuses on custom fields and placement on supported BC pages, for one BC online tenant. Supported tables, field types, deployment requirements and final pricing will be confirmed before any purchase.
Simple Object Designer is an established, broader BC customisation tool. Small Changes is a proposed alternative for buyers mainly interested in custom fields and page placement. The proposed scope is deliberately limited to fields and page placement. If you need a wider designer today, evaluate its trial and documentation.
Report-layout design and APIs are outside the proposed first software release. You can still tell us about API requirements in the form; we’ll use these to understand demand. A separate assisted pilot may be reviewed for one specific API requirement.
Possibly. BC’s built-in page personalisation can show available existing fields. Check that first: creating a new field is a different job.
A separate service for one agreed BC change, subject to feasibility. We confirm scope, timing and acceptance criteria before invoicing. Work starts after scope acceptance and payment. If we can’t deliver the agreed result, we refund the pilot fee. It is not a software subscription.
